Though I didn’t create this space, I started posting here almost two years ago when Shane and I released our first mixtape together as THEM.
Since then this blog has been a great place of support for us, our music, and a several other artists that I might not have been able to have the pleasure of meeting and working with if it wasn’t for you reblogging and sharing the things I’ve posted on here. I’ve been able to interview people, release twosplit EPs, get a reply from Kreayshawn, and some people out there even took the time to not only listen to the music I’ve made, but write (really amazing) things about it too!
But two years is a lot of time for things to change, and I’m moving on to bigger things that I want to focus on now. I’m creating my own digital collective that will focus on combining visual and audio elements of artists together called Mannyo. Mannyo will be a place where I can truly support the musicians that I love and put my full creative force into effect.
With the launch of his latest mixtape, Darius Lusher, Karmessiah has removed himself of his year long hiatus from releasing music and joined with Mannyo as our first official artist collaboration. Read on to learn more about Karmessiah, his music, and what he thinks about you.
Mannyo:Darius Lusher, you’re fourth album, is coming out on the 14th, which is actually a little over a year since you last put a full release out. What made you spend so much more time on this album compared to your other releases?
Karmessiah: Well, first of all i made alot of mistakes that effected my life greatly and i was mostly spending time trying to get my shit right. Also i spent like 3 months strictly getting turnt only, which i realized was a real waste of time. since all of that ive been working consistently on music because that keeps me happy
